THE #1 WRAP INSTALLERS

Our Step By Step Process

Step 1: Prep the Vehicle (Clean & Strip)

Before any vinyl touches the paint, the vehicle must be meticulously cleaned and decontaminated. This process starts with a thorough hand wash using a pH-neutral soap to strip away dirt, grease, and road grime. Once dried, a clay bar is used to remove embedded contaminants from the paint surface, ensuring a perfectly smooth finish. All waxes, sealants, and residues must be removed using isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Depending on the complexity of the vehicle, trim pieces, badges, mirrors, and door handles may be removed to allow full edge-to-edge wrapping. This step is critical—any dirt, oil, or wax left on the surface can prevent the vinyl from adhering properly, leading to lifting, bubbling, or premature failure.

Step 2: Measure, Cut & Apply the Wrap

With the vehicle now clean and dry, the vinyl wrap is carefully measured and cut according to each panel’s shape and size. The installer positions the vinyl over the panel, lightly tacking it in place before applying firm pressure. A combination of heat (using a heat gun) and precision tools like squeegees help the installer stretch and conform the material to curves, edges, and recesses. Patience and technique are essential—each panel is wrapped individually to eliminate wrinkles, air pockets, and tension points. Skilled installers know how to balance the material’s flexibility without overstretching it, preserving color consistency and adhesive strength.

Step 3: Finish & Seal

Once the vinyl is in place, the finishing stage ensures longevity and a factory-quality appearance. All edges are carefully trimmed with precision blades, tucking the vinyl into seams and around corners. Then, post-heating is applied to edges, curves, and deep recesses to activate the vinyl's adhesive memory—this helps it stay in place even under high heat or long-term exposure. Finally, all previously removed parts are reinstalled, and the installer performs a full inspection to catch any imperfections. The wrap is then left to cure, and the customer is advised to avoid washing the vehicle for at least 48 hours to allow full adhesion.

FAQS

How often should I get my car detailed?

The frequency of car detailing depends on several factors, including your driving habits and environmental conditions. In general, we recommend a thorough detailing every 4 to 6 months to maintain your car's appearance and protect its finish. However, if you live in an area with harsh weather conditions or frequently park under trees, you may benefit from more frequent detailing, possibly every 2 to 3 months. Our team can assess your specific needs and create a customized detailing schedule to keep your vehicle in optimal condition.

What's the difference between car washing and car detailing?

Car washing and car detailing serve different purposes. Car washing is a surface-level cleaning that removes dirt, dust, and grime from the exterior of your vehicle. Car detailing, on the other hand, is a comprehensive process that involves thorough cleaning, polishing, and protecting both the exterior and interior of your car. Detailing goes beyond just cleaning; it aims to restore and enhance your vehicle's appearance, addressing issues like paint imperfections, scratches, and interior stains. It's a more intensive and holistic approach to car care that results in a showroom-worthy finish.
